Compare Arduino Nano

The Arduino Nano family now consists of 5 different boards. This one boards They all look quite similar but have different properties. After reading the post below you should have a better idea of this one boards.

Arduino Nano

De Arduino Nano is the first board from this family. It has been a reliable and popular for many years board been. The Arduino Nano is similar to the Arduino Uno. It was therefore a logical step for many to use it for projects where a Arduino Uno simply doesn't fit. Because you can put the Arduino Nano directly on a breadboard can place, it is easy to make your project even more compact.
The Arduino Nano has 22 digital, 6 PWM and 8 analog pins.

Arduino Nano Every

De Arduino Nano Every is the perfect board for anyone who likes to work with Arduino, but has a limited budget. The Arduino Nano Every costs almost half the price of the original Arduino Nano. The Arduino Nano is better than the Nano Every in a few areas, but for most projects this won't matter.
The Nano Every has 12 digital, 5 PWM and 7 analog pins.

Arduino Nano 33 IoT

With the Arduino Nano 33 IoT the world of IoT (Internet of Things) is becoming a lot more accessible. This Arduino board you can program in Arduino Create. When you have done this you can create a dashboard in the Arduino IoT cloud where you can read all data from sensors. From this dashboard you can also control lights or actuators, for example, by means of a virtual button. The Arduino Nano 33 IoT has a built-in WiFi and BLE module so that you can easily connect your project wirelessly.
The Nano Every has 12 digital, 8 PWM and 8/1 analog pins.

Our experience

The Arduino Nano Every is perfect if you want to create a permanent Arduino project. It is very nice that Arduino has a board has made in this price range as it is clear that many people need this.
The Arduino Nano 33 IoT is a lot of fun board to use for IoT projects. At the moment it's the only one board which you can use in the IoT cloud which is a shame. We would also have liked to see the Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense in the IoT cloud.

Arduino Nano 33 BLE

De Nano 33 BLE comes with a 9-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), which means it contains an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a magnetometer with 3 axis resolution each. This makes the Nano 33 BLE the perfect choice for more advanced robotics experiments, training trackers, digital compasses, etc.

The communication chipset on the Nano 33 BLE can be a BLE as well as a Bluetooth® client and host device. Something quite unique in the world of microcontroller platforms. If you want to see how easy it is to make a Bluetooth® center or a peripheral, check out the examples in our ArduinoBLE library.

Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense

De Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense has the same Bluetooth functionalities as the Nano 33 BLE. The BLE Sense comes with a range of built-in sensors:

  • 9-axis inertia sensor: which makes this board ideal for portable devices
  • humidity and temperature sensor: for very accurate measurements of the ambient conditions
  • barometric sensor: you could make a simple weather station
  • microphone: to capture and analyze sound in real time
  • gesture, proximity, light color and light intensity sensor: estimate the brightness of the room, as well as whether someone is near the board moves

The main feature of this board, in addition to the impressive selection of sensors, is the ability to run Edge Computing (AI) applications on it using TinyML. You can create your machine learning models with  TensorFlow ™ Lite and send it to your board upload with the Arduino IDE.

Arduino Projects

Arduino Project: DS18B20 Thermometer

Arduino Project: DS18B20 Thermometer

In this project you will learn how to make a thermometer with an Arduino. The temperatures that are measured will show you on a seven segment screen. As a sensor we use a DS18B20 temperature sensor. For the seven segment screen we use a...

Arduino project: Machine-learning Color detection

Arduino project: Machine-learning Color detection

In this project we use the color and proximity sensor on the Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense. We also need the new Arduino_KNN library. This library uses Tiny Machine Learning. In this project we will distinguish objects based on ...

Arduino Project: Weather station

Arduino Project: Weather station

In this Arduino project you will learn how to make your own weather station. You do this on the basis of a DHT11 temperature & humidity sensor and an LDR. The temperature, humidity and brightness are displayed on a 16x2 LCD display. This one...
