Why Buy Diodes & Rectifiers?
diodes
A diode is a component with two terminals. A diode ensures that the electric current can only flow in one direction. So it is actually the electrical version of a non-return valve. The conductive direction is called the forward direction. The other direction is called the reverse direction. Diodes can also be used to convert alternating current to direct current. So from AC to DC
rectifier
A rectifier is an electronic circuit that converts an alternating voltage to a direct voltage. There are both single-sided and double-sided rectifiers. A single-ended rectifier may consist of one or two diodes. A full-wave rectifier consists of four diodes. The double-sided rectifier does have an advantage. For example, when the AC voltage is connected, both the positive and negative voltages are rectified.
