Raspberry Pi buy housing?

The housings are not supplied with the samen Raspberry Pi delivered. We recommend purchasing a housing with it. The housing prevents dust from entering your Raspberry Pi. The components are therefore much better protected. At the same time, the Raspberry Pi better take a beating. Because the housing is not directly included, you can choose a housing that meets your needs. There are many different types of enclosures to choose from.

What should you pay attention to when buying a housing?

If you don't plan to put heatsinks on your Raspberry Pi we recommend getting a housing with a fan. The Raspberry Pi can get very hot and thanks to the fan, the Raspberry Pi better at temperature. A fan enclosure is not completely sealed; there may still be dust. This is not the case with a closed housing without a fan. As a result, a housing with a fan requires some maintenance in the long run. Note: there are differences between the housings of, for example, the Raspberry 3B and 4B.
