Which Raspberry Picameras are there?
Raspberry Pi uses a standard ribbon cable connection. This means that you are both official Raspberry Pi cameras, but also third-party cameras. The range of original Raspberry Pi cameras has expanded considerably in recent times. There are 3 variants of the new Camera module 4:

Because the HQ Cameras use standard C / CS & M12 sizes you can use countless different lenses.
In addition to this original Raspberry Pi cameras, there are also other manufacturers who have developed cameras. For example, smaller spy cameras are available, but also advanced industrial cameras. When you are going to buy a camera for your Raspberry Pi it is therefore important to know which requirements it must meet.
Using a Raspberry Pi-camera
Raspberry Picameras with cameras is a strong combination that offers many possibilities. Some examples of applications are making: security cameras, surveillance cameras, baby monitors and even drone cameras. You can also create time-lapse videos & stop-motion animations with ease.
To a Raspberry Picamera, it must be connected to the Raspberry Pi through the ribbon cable. Usually this is included. In some cases like the Zero boards Do you need a custom cable? The camera can then be configured and controlled via the Raspberry Pi-software.
With the help of the cameras you can capture the images. You can process the images using software libraries such as OpenCV and Pygame. These libraries provide features such as image recognition, face recognition, color detection, and more. You don't need libraries for standard photos and videos. This can be done simply with commands.
Raspberry Pi camera accessories and accessories

Or connect an LCD Display to monitor your security. When you film continuously, you need a lot of data storage. When you add a motion sensor to your project, you can also only film when there is movement.
