Description Adafruit Ultimate GPS HAT for Raspberry Pi - Mini Kit
This is the Adafruit Ultimate GPS HAT for Raspberry Pi Mini Kit. This HAT lets you easily add GPS connectivity to your Raspberry Pi .It works with the Ultimate GPS module for accurate location and precise timing. You can use the HAT with the Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, Zero 's, 3, 2, B+ and A+.
The board comes with a coin cell holder for the RTC (real time clock). This allows it to keep track of time when the Pi is turned off. There are breakouts for all the pins of the Raspberry Pi .There is also a large prototyping area where you can attach accessories such as LEDs, sensors and the like.
Attention! This HAT takes over the hardware - UART of the Raspberry Pi for receiving and sending data to and from the GPS module. If you need to use the RX/TX pins with a console cable you can not use the HAT. You will then need to use an HDMI cable and keyboard to log in. Or use SSH to connect via the network.
Read more about using the HAT here.
The HAT comes as a fully assembled GPS + PCB. You get an extra 2x20 GPIO header that you can solder on the HAT. Instead of the supplied header, you can also solder a stack header on the HAT. This way you can connect multiple HATs to the Pi.
