This is the Adafruit ADS7830 8-Channel 8-Bit ADC. It's for expanding your microcontroller with additional analog reading capabilities. Particularly for a board like the Raspberry Pi , which doesn't have built-in ADCs.
It offers eight ADC channels with 8-bit resolution. This is ideal for basic sensor measurements. It is easy to connect via the I2C interface. This makes it compatible with various platforms. With only four wires (SDA/SCL and power), setup is quick and easy. The ADS7830 has a maximum rate of 70 Ksamples per second. It is ideal for adding multiple potentiometers or flex sensors to a project.
The ADS7830 is easy to use. The Arduino library makes it easy to read from any of the eight channels. You can power the board with 3 or 5V. The breakout board is designed in the STEMMA QT form factor. Which makes it easy to interface. The STEMMA QT connectors are compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors.
