Description Alarm Project Kit - Kitronik
With the Alarm project kit from Kitronik you can make your own room or barn alarm. It works when you mount it on the top of a door, drawer or other object with a movable opening† The kit comes standard with a micro switch. But it can be replaced by a magnetic door contact.
A microswitch acts as a trigger mechanism and is turned on/off by a separate slide switch. The movement of the door is detected by the microswitch. A timer provides an entry delay where the system can be disarmed by the slide switch† A separate timer ensures that the alarm stops after two minutes. Both timers are implemented via a 556 dual timer IC.
