Description Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense
The Nano 33 BLE Sense (with headers) is Arduino's 3,3V AI board in the smallest available form factor: 45x18mm! The Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense is a completely new board with a well-known form factor. It comes with a range of built-in sensors:
- 9-axis inertia sensor: what makes this board ideal for portable devices
- humidity and temperature sensor: for very accurate measurements of the ambient conditions
- barometric sensor: you could make a simple weather station
- microphone: to capture and analyze sound in real time
- gesture, proximity, light color and light intensity sensor: estimate the brightness of the room, as well as whether someone is moving near the board
The Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense is an evolution of the traditional Arduino Nano, but with a much more powerful processor, Nordic Semiconductors' nRF52840 and a 32-bit ARM® Cortex ™ -M4 CPU with 64 MHz. With this you can make larger programs than with the Arduino Uno. The main processor includes other amazing features such as Bluetooth® pairing via NFC and very low power consumption.
The main feature of this board, in addition to the impressive selection of sensors, is the ability to run Edge Computing (AI) applications on it using TinyML. You can create your machine learning models with TensorFlow ™ Lite and upload it to your board with the Arduino IDE.
The communication chipset on the Nano 33 BLE can be a BLE as well as a Bluetooth® client and host device. Something quite unique in the world of microcontroller platforms. If you've used Arduino Nano in your projects in the past, the Nano 33 BLE is a pin equivalent alternative. Your code will still work, but remember that it runs on 3,3V. This means you have to revise the original design in case it is not 3,3V compatible. In addition, the main differences with the classic Nano: a better processor, a micro-USB connector and a 9-axis IMU.
