Description Arduino sensor kit - Grove
The Arduino sensor kit is made for makers who are just getting started with Arduino. The kit makes it easier to get started with electronics. Thanks to the Grove basic modules, sensors and actuators, you can easily connect everything.
Grove is an open-source, modulated, and ready-to-use toolset. A building block approach is used for assembling electronics.
This kit contains a Base Shield to which the various Grove modules can be connected. This can be done individually or together in different combinations. This allows you to create fun and exciting projects yourself. All modules have a Grove connector, with which you can connect the module to the Base Shield very quickly. The Base Shield can then be mounted on a Arduino Uno be mounted. After this you can program the setup via the Arduino IDE. The kit includes instructions for connecting and programming the modules.
This kit is developed by Arduino & Seeed Studio It allows the Arduino community to build projects with minimal effort. This makes both wiring and coding much easier. The kit offers makers a flexible way to expand projects with other complex Grove modules.
The kit includes access to an online platform. Here you will find all the instructions needed to connect, sketch and play with the different Grove modules.
NB! This kit does not include Arduino Uno board.

Hardware
1 Base Shield designed to sit on top of a Arduino UNOboard to match. It is equipped with 16 grove connectors, which, when placed on top of the UNO, provide functionality to several pins. It contains
- 7x digital connection
- 4x analog connection
- 4x I2C connections
- 1x UART connection
10 Grove modules supplied can be connected to the Base Shield.
- The LED - simple LED that can be turned ON or OFF, or dimmed
- The button - push button which can be in a HIGH or LOW state
- The potentiometer - a variable resistor that increases or decreases the resistance when the knob is turned
- The buzzer - a piezo speaker used to produce binary sounds
- The light sensor - a photo resistor that reads light intensity
- The sound sensor - a small microphone that measures sound vibrations
- The air pressure sensor - reads the air pressure using the I2C protocol
- The temperature sensor - reads temperature and humidity at the same time
- The accelerometer - a sensor used for orientation, which is used to detect movement
- The OLED screen - a screen on which values or messages can be printed.
With 6 Grove cables you can easily connect the modules to the Base Shield.
Software
The Arduino Sensor Kit Library contains links to other libraries related to particular modules. Such as the accelerometer, air pressure sensor, temperature sensor and the OLED display. This library offers easy-to-use APIs that allow you to build a clear model of the concepts you will be using.
