Freeform electronics is an artistic way of making circuits. Instead of a printed circuit board or breadboard as a base, let's see how you can use copper wire to connect all the components together. (Don't you know what a circuit board or breadboard is? Don't worry, we explain everything in the manual!)
This set contains all tools and components to create at least 6 different freeform projects. Each project consists of easy to solder electronics and is therefore suitable for both beginners and experienced makers!
The included tool includes a soldering iron, lead-free solder and round-nose pliers with side cutters. Of course, the high-quality coated copper wire should not be missing! For practical reasons, we opted for a specific type of copper wire. The coating protects the copper wire against short circuits, but can be easily removed by heating the copper wire for one second with a soldering iron. So there is no need to scrape or sand the copper wire before soldering. This makes soldering the components to the wire very easy. Another plus is that you can easily bend the copper wire to make grave objects.
Discover our projects: an RGB LED ball, an electronic candle, an RGB alien, an electronic heart, an LED butterfly and an LED beetle. These projects are fun and easy to make thanks to the online tutorial with tips and tricks. Templates are included with this set to create the correct shape with the copper wire.
