Surface mount soldering is different from throughput soldering. The components are on the PCB. You make the solder connections on the PCB. Testing is simple. Solder a battery or USB to the PCB and check the connections. The finished lamp works well as a small lighting project. It uses little power. It fits into a USB port. The PCB has two power pads and an M3 mounting hole.
