Make the Raspberry Pi Pico the heart of your new buggy project with the Kitronik Compact Motor Driver Board for Raspberry Pi Pico.

Additionally, the board can also be used to drive a stepper motor. It features the DRV8833 motor driver IC. This has built-in short circuit, overcurrent and thermal protection.
The board has 4 external connections on GPIO pins and a 3V and GND supply from the Pico. This makes additional IO options available for your motor project. These IOs can be read or controlled by the Pico. In addition, there is an on/off switch and a power status LED.This allows you to see at a glance whether the board is powered and saves batteries when your project is not in use.
To use the motor driver board, the Pico must be soldered with a pin header and firmly plugged into the connector. The board provides a regulated power supply that is fed into the 40-pin connector to power the Pico. There is no need to power the Pico directly. The motor driver board is powered via screw terminals or a servo-style connector.
Kitronik has developed a micro-python module and sample code to support using the Motor Driver board with the Pico. Note : Due to the additional power draw of the wireless functions of a Pico W, it is not recommended to use wireless functionality with this board. The standard functionality of the Pico W will work as normal, only the wireless functions are affected.
