Description QTR-8A reflection sensor row

The QTR-8A reflectance sensor array is designed to be used as a line sensor. However, the sensor can also be used as a general purpose proximity or reflectance sensor . The module contains 8 IR emitter and receiver (phototransistor) pairs. These are evenly distributed over the board. The outputs are all independent. The LEDs are arranged in pairs to halve the power consumption. If you do not need all 8 sensors, you can break the module in two. There is a perforated line on the board, here you can break it off. You then have one part with 6 sensors and one part with 2 sensors. These two boards can both be used.
