Description Raspberry Pi 400 - US / QWERTY layout

Very cool to finally have a pi in a complete housing, this product feels more 'finished' than the standard pi 3 or 4. Works well!

  4. Simon (verified owner) -

    Works as expected.

  5. Robert Van der Schrier (verified owner) -

one of the few stores with stock

super nice thing. was considering it for a while but availabillity and price inflation as a result are a b*tch. now i have a dedicated micro pc to tinker with. runs a bit slow with caching and buffering initially but that's understandable given the (compared to x86 chipsets) super low power consumption and ARM-based processor. Overclocked to 2.0 GHz it works just fine but you don't notice a real performance difference yet. something that can be noticed if you do the chip to 2.2ghz but then I recommend that you have a good clean and cool place for it otherwise it runs quite hot (although always within safe margins) with this heat wave.

Product works properly. Been looking for a Pi400 for a while now.

Great PC, too bad you can't mount a USB extension internally, such as a storage card.

I had installed Pi OS 32bit first as this is the version that comes with the sd card. Then I downloaded the 64bit version and that made a huge difference. Especially when I later put it on an external SSD. Now I boot from SSD instead of SD card and the Pi 400 is now fast enough for the tasks I use it for: internet, YouTube, Amazon Prima movies, word processing etc. The Pi 400 is ideal because it is very small, energy efficient and cheap. According to my energy meter, the Pi 400 consumes a maximum of 8 Watts when watching an HD movie. With standard internet use, the consumption fluctuates between 4 and 7 Watts, depending on the number of tabs that I have open. I have no interest in programming and use the Pi 400 only as a replacement computer. It is certainly very suitable for that and fast enough.

    It's a UK keyboard, no problem, it's a pity.

  11. HNS Venice (verified owner) -

This is an original Raspberry, so the quality is just 100%.

Wifi works fine, but with a network cable I can't get an internet connection.

A computer in a keyboard† Perfect for my emulation purpose.

Both a useful and a fun gadget, and a great way to teach young people Linux, programming and electronics without having to deal with a bare vulnerable PCB and a separate keyboard. Because it is so well protected, this is the better one raspberry pi for your desk. The higher clock speed is a nice added bonus.
