The TCRT5000 is a compact, versatile optical reflection sensor. This sensor detects objects by reflecting infrared light. The heart of the TCRT5000 is the combination of an infrared LED and a phototransistor. This duo works at a wavelength of 950 nm, ideal for accurate detection. The sensor is designed for short distances, with an optimal measuring range of 1,5 cm. This makes it perfect for applications such as object detection and proximity sensors. The TCRT5000 functions within an operating voltage range of 3,6 to 5VDC. It has an average power consumption of 60mA. Thanks to its robust design, the sensor can withstand temperatures from -25 to 85 °C.
