Tracopower's TSR 1 Series are non-isolated step-down switching regulators. These DC to DC converters are a drop-in replacement for inefficient 78xx linear regulators. High efficiency of up to 96% enables full load operation. This up to an ambient temperature of 60 ° C without the need for a heat sink or forced cooling. The TSR 1 switching regulators offer many important functions compared to linear regulators. Such as better output accuracy (± 2%), lower standby current of 2 mA and no requirement for external capacitors. The high efficiency and low standby power consumption make these controllers an ideal solution for many battery-powered applications.
