Description Gravity: Water Flow Sensor (1/2") for Arduino
The Gravity Water Flow sensor from DFRobot measures the speed of a liquid. The YF-S201 water flow sensor consists of a plastic valve housing, a flow rotor and a hall-effect sensor† It is usually used at the inlet end to detect the amount of flow.
When liquid flows through the sensor, the magnetic rotor will rotate. The rotational speed varies with the flow rate. The hall effect sensor will output a pulse width signal.
When you connect the sensor to a microcontroller you can monitor and control the water flow of your devices.

*A 20mm drawn tube is recommended
*Avoid contact with corrosive chemicals
*The unit must be installed vertically, tilted no more than 5 degrees
*Liquid temperature must be less than 120°C to avoid damage to the unit
