Description Wide Input SHIM kit
The Wide Input SHIM from Pimoroni allows you to use a range of different DC power supplies (3-16V) with your Pi! This includes the popular 12V barrel jack power supplies. The module is very thin so you can solder it directly to the pins of the Pi and still put a HAT on it.
The barrel jack connector on the Wide Input SHIM is a 3,5mm version. Two adapter cables are included that you can connect to this. One with a red and black wire that you can solder and one with a larger 5,5mm female barrel jack connection.
If you don't want to solder the Wide Input SHIM to the Raspberry Pi can you use the supplied 2X6 header. When you solder it to the module, you can place it on the GPIO pins of the Pi.
