The Bambu Lab Double Sided Smooth PEI Sheet is designed to improve the precision and quality of 3D printing. This product is not suitable for the Bambu Lab A1, due to specific plate thickness requirements. It offers a solution against bubble formation by heating on a heat bed of at least 80 degrees, which is essential for a smooth surface. Regular cleaning with detergent and water is recommended to maintain optimal adhesion, while the use of acetone should be avoided to prevent damage to the PEI surface. The Smooth PEI sheet should be treated with care, with recommendations such as sandblasting with fine sandpaper to restore adhesion. Despite being considered a consumable, this plate contributes to high Z-axis precision in prints and is compatible with a wide range of filaments, with a special focus on PLA. The magnetic bonding of the 0,5mm thick spring steel plate prevents warping and improves overall print quality, especially for larger models. The unique matte finish of the PEI layer enriches the aesthetics of the printed object.
