New Arduino Create Subscriptions

Arduino has added two new subscription options to the Arduino Create Platform. This makes it even cheaper to get started with this online platform.
Arduino Create subscriptions

Entry subscription

The cheap new subscription is the Entry subscription. With the Entry version you can compile unlimited in Arduino Create for only $ 1,99 pm (at one year). This is very nice as this was previously only possible with the Maker subscription. You know for sure that you can always work with the platform. In addition, you can create 10 “Things” instead of 2 in the free version. You get unlimited storage for sketches, 15 days of data retention and over the air updates.

Maker Plus subscription

The Entry version is a stripped down and cheaper version of the Maker subscription. The Maker Plus version is a more extensive subscription. With the Maker Plus subscription you can create up to 100 “Things”. That is 4x as much as with the Maker subscription! In addition, you will receive 3 months data retention instead of 12 months. For most people, this subscription will be too big and unnecessary. However, this is a nice upgrade for people who are close to the Maker subscription.

Which plan should you choose?

So there are now four options for subscriptions. The free version, the Entry, the Maker and the Maker Plus. When you actually always program in the IDE and Arduino Create is only used for IoT projects. Then the free version is probably best. Keep in mind that you only have 200 seconds of compilation time per day and that you can only make 2 “Things”. If you occasionally work with Arduino, but immediately more than one hour at a time, the Entry subscription is a good option. Thanks to the unlimited compilation you can work with Arduino Create without any problems. Are you a real Arduino Hobbyist? Then the Maker Plan is the best option! You can manage all your “Things” in one platform and dashboards parts. Do you create business IoT projects that work with Arduino and/or the IoT cloud? Then the Maker Plus package is for you! Manage all your projects on one platform and share dashboards easy with customers.

Arduino Project: DS18B20 Thermometer

In this project you will learn how to make a thermometer with an Arduino. The temperatures that are measured will show you on a seven segment screen. As a sensor we use a DS18B20 temperature sensor. For the seven segment screen we use a...

Arduino project: Machine-learning Color detection

Arduino project: Machine-learning Color detection

In this project we use the color and proximity sensor on the Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense. We also need the new Arduino_KNN library. This library uses Tiny Machine Learning. In this project we will distinguish objects based on ...

Arduino Project: Weather station

Arduino Project: Weather station

In this Arduino project you will learn how to make your own weather station. You do this on the basis of a DHT11 temperature & humidity sensor and an LDR. The temperature, humidity and brightness are displayed on a 16x2 LCD display. This one...
