The Isolated RS485 CAN HAT (B) is an expansion card for the Raspberry Pi, designed for industrial applications. With 2 RS485 channels and 1 CAN channel, this HAT offers versatile communication options for your projects. The HAT is compatible with the standard 40PIN GPIO header Raspberry Pi and supports various Raspberry Pi-models. The CAN channel uses the MCP2515 controller and CAN transceiver. Which allows you to use the SPI interface of the Raspberry Pi can convert to CAN communication. This allows you to easily communicate with other CAN devices and vehicle networks. The 2 RS485 channels use the SC16IS752+SP3485 dual-chip combination to convert SPI to RS485 communication. This allows you to establish reliable serial communication over long distances. The HAT has a built-in power conversion circuit. This allows you to use a wide range of supply voltages from 8V to 28V. This allows you to use both the Raspberry Pi if powering the HAT with a single power source. Thanks to the unibody isolation of the supply voltage, a stable isolated voltage is provided, without the need for additional power for the isolated terminals. This ensures reliable and interference-free operation, while also ensuring low power consumption. The HAT is equipped with various security functions, including an onboard TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) to effectively suppress overvoltage and voltage spikes in the circuit.
