Description Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera - C mount
This is the Global Shutter Camera from Raspberry Pi. It's a 1.6-megapixel camera Raspberry Pi. This type of camera does not have the artifacts typical of rolling shutter cameras. It is therefore ideal for fast motion photography and machine vision applications. Even small distortions can affect inference performance.
The Global Shutter Camera has a large pixel size of 3.45 μm × 3.45 μm. This ensures high light sensitivity. Which is beneficial for high-speed photography because it allows for short exposure times. The camera has a 1.6MP Sony IMX296 sensor and the same C/CS-mount lens assembly as the Raspberry Pi HQ Cam. This makes the camera compatible with a large number of lenses.
The IMX296 has a lower resolution than comparable sized rolling shutter sensors. This is useful for machine vision applications. Since higher resolution images are difficult to process in real time. With proper lens magnification, the lower resolution of the Global Shutter Camera can capture an image suitable for processing by a machine vision model.
De Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera includes the following accessories. One C- to CS-mount adapter, screwdriver, 150mm flex cable and a removable plastic backing for protection. It is compatible with any Raspberry Pi computer that has a CSI connector.
