This is Waveshare's serial expansion HAT. Thanks to this HAT you can connect two UART ports and 8 GPIO pins to your Raspberry Pi to add. You can connect 16 of these HATs to one Raspberry Pi† This way you can add up to 32 UART!
Features Serial Expansion HAT
- Standard Raspberry Pi 40 pin GPIO extension header
- We-board SC16IS752, extends 2-ch UART and 8 programmable GPIO via I2C, no extra pin required
- It is stackable up to 16 these modules by setting the address jumper i.e. up to 32-ch UART
- Built-in multi-LEDs for indicating UART working status
- Reserved I2C control pins, allows to work with other control boards
- Comes with development tools and manual (examples in C and python)
